Job summary

Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking a Patient Access/Registration professional to gather patient demographics and financial information, verify insurance, and ensure accurate billing data entry. You will input and update records, handle patient inquiries, and support cash collection processes in a busy hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of experience in patient access, strong clerical skills, and solid attention to detail to maintain clean claims and smooth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar patient access/registration role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in using computer systems and clerical tasks to complete registrations and collect patient information.
• Input patient demographic and financial information accurately into the system and verify insurance information.
• Manage day-to-day registration queues and ensure timely processing with attention to accuracy.
• Coordinate with care teams to hand off information and maintain smooth patient flow across the department.
• Collect co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance and document financial arrangements.
• Review emails and communicate any issues or questions with the Supervisor and patients as needed.
