The Patient Access Quality Coordinator is responsible for operationalizing and maintaining departmental and/or organizational training programs for UAMS, as well as researching and aligning educational resources with strategic focus areas of higher complexity and of a technical nature. In addition to planning and leading patient access training initiatives, this individual’s responsibilities also include the development and delivery of multi-media training materials and curricula, monitoring quality and performance metrics, keeping the Quality Assurance and Access Leadership apprised of results, and using data to identify and develop targeted opportunities for staff development for the individual, departmental, and organizational-wide presentation while maintaining the training calendar and database.
Responsible for assisting in the assessment of the quality performance of the UAMS Access teams who telephonically communicate with patients and providers. This role will monitor inbound and outbound calls to assess technical accuracy, customer service performance, and conformity to organizational policies and procedures. This position will perform routine audits on inbound and outbound calls, and score calls according to a standard approach.
The Patient Access Quality Coordinator works with intermittent supervision and review; works problems involving departures from standard policies, interpretations, or procedures will be presented to management for review and direction on resolution. This position may role model and float to areas as necessary. This position is required to work a portion of their time in each function to maintain a strong updated working knowledge of each area.
The Patient Access Quality Coordinator will need flexibility in scheduling hours worked to meet staff learning needs. The position may require in-state traveling to provide training for all UAMS Health access which includes possible overnight stays. Position may be required to travel out of state for training and/or conferences required for this position.
