Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform appointment scheduling and direct patient care in a clinic setting. Under supervision of a licensed healthcare provider, you will assist in delivering health care services and ensure accurate patient paperwork and intake.

The role emphasizes excellent patient communication, accurate data entry, and collaboration with multiple departments. A High School diploma and BLS are required; MA training and related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• Experience in a clinic or medical office setting preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• CHAM/CHAA or Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all patients, guests, and family members.
• Ensure all patient-required forms are completed and paperwork is accurate.
• Input patient demographics and financial information; explain insurance benefits and collect co-pays and self-pay portions.
• Perform vital signs and screenings, obtain history and assessments.
• Prepare patient for exam and explain procedures; answer questions.
