Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner, with effective communication with patients, visitors, co-workers, physicians, and other departments.
• Registers all patients in EMR with demographics, financial and insurance information, and secures signatures and check-in/check-out processes.
• Answers incoming calls, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information to the appropriate care team with telephone etiquette.
• Assists with booking patients in scheduling appointments to ancillary labs and other services.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and treats all individuals with respect.
• Sorts and delivers mail, medical records, and other correspondence.
• Attends departmental meetings and participates in quality assurance endeavors.
• All other tasks as assigned.
