Responsibilities

• Verifies insurance coverage and initiates pre-certification when required; documents in system.
• Collects payments, issues receipts, and works toward collection goals.
• Prepares and distributes reports, schedules, and patient identification items per department guidance.
• Communicates estimated patient financial responsibility and refers to payment programs as needed.
