Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. - required.
• 1-3 years applicable experience; customer service and strong computer skill - required.
• Hospital or Clinic setting office experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture demographic and insurance information accurately to register the correct patient.
• Interpret insurance eligibility responses and determine financial responsibility.
• Explain financial obligations to patients and collect payments via cash, card, or check.
• Discuss and obtain signatures on regulatory forms as needed.
• Scan or manage forms to maintain the Electronic Health Record.
• Maintain awareness of HIPAA and other regulatory information governing access to data.
• Work across multiple systems during calls or in-person interactions to complete registrations.
