Job Description:

BHMG Heart Group - Patient Access Coordinator

The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for making patient appointments, providing reminder calls, greeting, registering, and checking in or out patients. They verify demographic and insurance information, enter data into the appropriate system, collect co-pays and payments, and prepare daily deposit and reconciliation reports. The role also involves receiving and relaying phone messages accurately and timely, as well as providing clerical and secretarial support, including typing correspondence and reports, managing mail, faxes, and maintaining supplies.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills required
  • Medical terminology skills preferred
  • Prior medical office experience preferred
