PT Solutions Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in/check-out, payments, and documentation to ensure a smooth clinic experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education welcomed.
• 1–2 years customer service or healthcare front office experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and scheduling platforms is preferred.
• Must meet compliance, background check, and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, verify information, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Handle payments, explain financial responsibilities, and maintain daily records.
• Support clinic operations by managing phones, schedules, referrals, and EMR documentation.
• Deliver a positive patient experience by addressing questions and concerns professionally.
• Ensure HIPAA, insurance processes, and documentation standards are followed.
• Coordinate care with therapists and teams to resolve access or scheduling issues.
• Assist with clinic operations and special projects as needed.

Your Responsibilities As a Patient Access Coordinator

• Greet patients, manage check-in/check-out, verify information, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Handle payments, explain financial responsibilities, and maintain accurate daily financial records.
• Support clinic operations by managing phones, schedules, referrals, and EMR documentation.
• Deliver a positive patient experience by assisting with questions and addressing concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, insurance processes, and accurate documentation standards.
• Collaborate with therapists and internal teams to coordinate care and resolve access or scheduling issues.
• Assist with clinic operations, special projects, and provide coverage support as needed.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy clinic environment.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to collect payments and discuss financial responsibility confidently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort using multiple software systems.

Qualifications

• At minimum, a High School or GED diploma (Submission of diploma for the highest level of education obtained will be required).
• 1–2 years of customer service or healthcare front office experience preferred.
• Experience using EMR systems and scheduling platforms strongly preferred.
• Must meet all compliance, background check, and onboarding requirements.

Schedule

• Full Time: Mon-Fri (schedule varies)
• This is a float position that will cover Gastonia, Ft Mill, Indian Land, Belmont, Lincolnton and Shelby on an as needed basis. Mileage reimbursement included*

Compensation

• Pay Range: $16-$19/hour with monthly incentive and mileage reimbursement*
• (Any posted pay range considers multiple compensations factors including background, experience, and work location while also allowing for salary growth within the position)
