Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Patient Access professional to schedule patient appointments, verify medical necessity, determine eligibility, and post payments in the system. The role requires accurate data entry, patient communication, and adherence to compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED (preferred), at least two years in a hospital or customer service setting, and strong typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters required information in the computer system in an accurate and timely manner.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor and enters it in the system with a high degree of accuracy.
• Explains all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtains signatures as needed.
• Ensures medical necessity compliance by obtaining necessary data and communicating with patient or guarantor.
