Job summary

Prisma Health Sumter OB-Practice Operations is seeking a front office professional to manage patient registration, pre-certification, charge capture and accurate coding. You will balance daily cash, post payments, and support billing processes while upholding confidentiality and compassion.

You will greet patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, assist with outpatient coding and collections, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Experience: No prior experience required; multi-specialty practice experience preferred.
• Skills: basic ICD-9 and CPT coding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Handle complete and accurate patient registration, pre-certification, charge capture and coding.
• Post payments and balance with daily reports; manage cash deposits.
• Greet patients; check in; verify insurance information; obtain signatures.
• Schedule surgeries and appointments; assist with outpatient billing and collections.
• Research address verification; maintain patient accounts; maintain confidentiality.
