Summary:

The Emergency Department Patient Access Associate is responsible for accurately identifying patients and conducting detailed registration interviews, including capturing demographic, insurance, and contact information in a high-volume, 24/7 Emergency Department. Patient Access Associates are exposed to varying levels of acuity, disease, and sensitive patient and visitor situations impacting populations of all ages and backgrounds.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: Related experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Computer and data entry experience is required, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, email, and internet communication, as well as the ability to work accurately and effectively with electronic systems.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
