Job Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of Patient Access, this position facilitates patients' access into the hospital and clinical systems by providing registration, admission, and bed assignment services while protecting the fiscal interests of the hospital.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum one to three years of Registration, Hospital Billing required.
• Licensure and/or Certification: Certified Healthcare Access Associate, preferred.
• Skills: Knowledge of third-party payors, Medicare billing practices and regulations, insurance verifications, insurance billing practices, computer proficiency. Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, ability to work accurately with detailed confidential information, and effective communication in English are required. Must maintain confidentiality.
