Job summary

CentraCare Willmar Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, performing registration duties and verifying patient and insurance information. You will schedule appointments and help produce billable patient accounts with independent judgment and facility knowledge.

The role offers full-time hours, a Monday–Friday 7:30am–5:00pm schedule and weekend options, with starting pay at $19.91 per hour and a pay range up to $30.47, plus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• One to two year post high school training in clerical, secretarial or business area preferred but not required.
• One year of prior experience in scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience in healthcare (clinic or hospital) preferred but not required.

This role requires independent analysis, exercise of judgment and detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. You will be responsible for verifying patient and insurance information, scheduling appointments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts and more!

SCHEDULE:

• Full-Time | 64 hours every two weeks
• Monday - Friday rotation | 7:30am- 5:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday | 9:00am-3pm or 4:00pm

PAY & BENEFITS:

• Starting pay begins at $19.91 per hour and increases with experience
  • Pay range: $19.91-30.47 per hour
