Job summary

TMC Bonham Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking an ER Admissions Representative to manage Pre-Admission and Admission services for all patients. You will verify insurance, collect financial information, and secure required consents in the EMR.

Role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. On-site position with standard hospital scheduling and patient-facing duties.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency (basic math, data entry).
• Minimum 6 months general public contact in person or by phone.
• Experience in healthcare settings or healthcare insurance environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pre-Admission and Admission services for all patients.
• Identify patients and maintain accurate EMR information.
• Collect financial information, verify benefits and obtain authorizations.
• Calculate insurance co-payments, deductibles and collect at admission or discharge.
• Obtain Medical and Financial Consents and provide information on Patient Rights, Privacy and Advance Care Directives.
