Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develops and provides students with an approved Covista syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, including terminal course objectives.
  • Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials.
  • Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions to prepare the course and make it accessible to students.
  • Models effective oral and written communications that engage students, provide clarity, and improve learning outcomes.
  • Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing terminal objectives, assignment and examination dates, and the weight distribution of evaluation categories.
  • Ensures that content and level of material on exams align with the course terminal objectives.
  • Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provides timely feedback to students.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

We are seeking primarily industry professionals to share knowledge and experience with undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of fields. Courses meet once or twice a week for eight weeks. Face-to-face interaction is blended with technology, including online discussions and online assignments. Commitment is on a course-by-course basis.

Additional Information

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position - Campus: The expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment and $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate’s education and experience. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as the type of course taught, experience and training, geographic location, licensure and certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibilities.
