Job summary

The Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Research Specialist in the Pathology department to perform assays and experiments, assist in protocol development, and contribute to figures for publications. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run experiments after discussion with investigators.
  • Interpret results and evaluate controls.
  • Train and orient learners and new staff in the lab.
  • Assist in development of new techniques and instruments.
  • Review published methods related to current work and discuss with senior staff.
  • Publish data by writing methodology sections for manuscripts and grants.
  • May order equipment and interface with vendors.
  • Support protocol development, efficiency, and productivity.
