Job description

A pathology group in Southeast Michigan is seeking board-certified or eligible anatomic and clinical pathologists for full-time positions to join our community practice. Our practice serves three Henry Ford Providence hospitals and two independent laboratories. We encourage applications from full-time candidates with fellowship training in cytopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, hematopathology, or other subspecialties. A partnership tract opportunity is available.

About the position:

1. Practice averages 55,000 anatomic accessions per year.
2. Southfield location is the base, with expectations to rotate at Novi and Rochester.
3. The department covers approximately 20 tumor boards/conferences per month.
4. AP/CP call responsibilities.
5. Infrequent autopsies.
6. Opportunities for lab directorships.
7. Opportunities for teaching and education.

About the hospitals:

1. Approximately 1,000 beds covered.
2. Approximately 40 operating rooms.
3. Level II and III trauma centers.
4. Strong residency and fellowship programs involving 250 residents and fellows, leading to an interesting case mix.
