Job description

Seeking BE/BC Pathologist to join a private group near Myrtle Beach, SC. This well-established, mutually supportive group has provided laboratory direction, participated in medical staff leadership, and practiced general pathology, encountering a remarkable and challenging range of neoplastic and other disease processes. The area is experiencing significant growth, increasing the need for a third full-service pathologist.

Responsibilities:

1. General surgical pathology including GI, GU, GYN, breast, head and neck, hematologic, pulmonary, and general surgery/oncology.
2. Active cytology practice including ThinPrep Pap smears, fluids, and image-guided FNAs (EBUS, EUS, radiology).
3. Support of ROSE for FNAs with a skilled cytotechnologist.
4. Support of a well-staffed and equipped histology laboratory and general laboratory.
5. No autopsies or CNS pathology.

Work Schedule:

The goal is to have three pathologists sharing weekly call duties and responsibilities in a three-day rotation: grossing day, slide reading day, and clinical/catch-up day.
