Job summary

CND Life Sciences is seeking an entry-level Pathology Operations Coordinator to support daily laboratory workflow in our Scottsdale facility. You will work with the pathology operations team to ensure accurate documentation, data entry, and timely case processing.

You will perform QC checks, organize slides, and assist with shipments to off-site archival storage. This onsite role emphasizes adherence to SOPs and collaboration within a clinical-lab environment.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory or healthcare environment preferred.
  • Proficient with documentation, data entry, and recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Review laboratory case documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform quality control checks on documentation and slides using LIMS.
  • Unload and organize digitized slides from scanners and ensure proper case association.
  • Assist in pre-filling documentation for medical staff to support case processing.
  • Scan and upload documents into LIMS, ensuring data integrity and proper storage.

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm PST - Onsite in Scottsdale, AZ


Position Summary

The PathologyOperationsCoordinator(POC) is an entry-levelroleresponsible for supporting the day-to-dayoperations of the commercial laboratory at CND Life Sciences.Workingclosely with the Pathology Operationsteam, this positionperforms ablendof technical and administrativedutiestohelpmaintainanefficientand organizedlaboratory workflow.


What you’ll be doing…

Job Responsibilities


  • Review laboratory case documentation for completeness and accuracy.

  • Perform quality control checks on documentationand slides using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

  • Unload and organize digitized slides from Olympus VS200 scanners withinthecase distribution tower.

  • Assist in pre-filling documentation for medical staffto support case processing.

  • Scan and upload documents into LIMS , ensuring proper case association and data integrity.

  • F ileand organizeslides and paperworkfollowingpathology teamreview.

  • Coordinate and completeshipments to Iron Mountain for off-sitearchivalstorage,asneeded.

  • Promptly e scalate issues or concerns toappropriateteammembers.

  • F ollowallstandard operating procedures (SOPs)andreport any deviationsimmediately.

  • Support general clerical dutiesandcontributetodailylaboratory readiness for case processing.

  • Adapt to changesin workflowandassistwith process improvementinitiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory operations.


Knowledge, Skills &Experience


  • 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory or healthcare environment preferred.

  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.

  • Experience with inventory management, data entry, and recordkeeping preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with web-based business applications.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing records and documentation.

  • Ability to follow instructions and seek clarification when necessary.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving shared goals.


Education, Certifications, and Licensures


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to use copiers and PDF scanner

  • Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish sufficient detail.

  • Must possess the ability to sit or stand for long periods.

  • Must possess the ability to perform repetitive motion.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • This role will be expected to work onsite at the company’s Scottsdale, AZ headquarters 5 days/week.
