Schedule details

Night shift, 11pm - 7:30am. Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Rotating holidays.
Please note: This position is for the night shift; however, the selected candidate will need to be flexible during the initial training period, which may require working during the day or evening shifts. Training will typically last for the first few months, after which you will transition to the night shift schedule. We appreciate your flexibility and commitment to learning the role during this time.

Responsible for receiving, processing, and distributing clinical laboratory specimens.

Essential Functions
  • Receive, label, and distribute clinical laboratory specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
  • Process specimens by verifying patient information, accessioning samples into the laboratory information system, and preparing samples for testing.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for specimen handling, storage, and disposal.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory area.
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards, including the use of personal protective equipment, proper disposal of hazardous materials, and compliance with laboratory accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by laboratory management.
Education

Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred or High School Diploma or Equivalent required
