Overview

Summary: Performs a variety of clerical and technical duties under general supervision, reporting to a Laboratory Supervisor. Responsibilities include the receipt, accessioning, centrifugation, and decanting of patient specimens, as well as communicating with clinicians at the Front Window and over the phone.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with labeling, preservation and fixation of specimens.
  • Work closely with technologists to ensure specimens are processed timely and accurately.
  • Monitor reagent and supply inventory.
  • Organize patient specimen and assay worksheets/printouts for testing and technologist review.
  • Use LIMS to upload documents and input critical data.
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Experience
  • Previous laboratory, healthcare and/or customer service experience 1-2 years required.
