Job summary

United-Digestive in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Pathology Lab Team Lead to guide the Lab Assistant staff, ensure coverage of clinical, clerical and lab duties, and report to the Pathology Operations Supervisor. You will coordinate workflows, supervise accessioning, transcription, case assembly and distribution, and maintain HIPAA compliance.

This role requires 2–3 years of specialty clinical experience, gastroenterology exposure, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of specialty clinical experience, gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Must be computer literate and able to operate healthcare and laboratory systems; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate coverage assignments for lunches and PTO; fill in as needed.
• Oversee lab assistant duties to ensure timely patient results as directed by Operations Supervisor.
• Monitor equipment and maintain laboratory inventory in line with SOPs.
• Assist with training, coaching and development of the lab assistant team.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Communicate findings to supervisors and pathologists as necessary.
• Participate in staff meetings and team huddles as directed.
