Job summary

The Pathology Core Reference Lab (PCRL) in the Dept. of Pathology at Penn State University - College of Medicine is seeking a dynamic part-time research technologist to support automated immunoassay and LC-MS/MS analyses.

The ideal candidate will have a BS, MS, MT, MLT, PhD or other doctoral degree; strong Excel skills; meticulous record keeping; and ability to work in a team with flexible in-person hours.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, MT, MLT, PhD or doctoral degree required.
• Meticulous record keeping and accurate pipetting.
• Strong organization and Microsoft Excel mastery.
• Preference for prior clinical laboratory experience and regulatory familiarity (CLIA, CAP, FDA).

Responsibilities

• Perform immunoassay analyses (free light chain immunoglobulins, IL-6) and LC-MS/MS.
• Maintain accurate records and document results.
• Collaborate in a team environment with clear communication.
• Support compliance with CLIA, CAP, and FDA regulatory requirements.
