Job Description Summary Under the general supervision of the Histology Supervisor, is responsible for Pathology transcription, billing/coding, updating Pathology Information Systems, reports, sendouts and coordinating workload with the technical staff as well as the offsite transcriptionists. In addition, this position will utilize knowledge of office systems and procedures to maintain the efficient operation of the administrative office of the laboratory services department.
Job Description Minimum Education Equivalent of four years of high school with good computer/word processing skills, knowledge of medical terminology.
Minimum Work Experience Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of histology/pathology terminology.
