Altasciences in Scranton, PA is seeking a Pathology Associate to provide high quality and timely processing of pathological specimens through gross examinations, necropsies, tissue trimming and processing as specified in SOPs.

You will train on core SOPs, perform necropsy tasks, enter data in the EDCS, maintain lab areas and equipment, and participate in GLP training and on-call policy as part of a dynamic pathology team.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in science preferred; other combos acceptable.
• 6 months to 1 year biological science or lab work if degree not met.
• Working knowledge of anatomic biology.
• Basic computer skills and MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Train and follow core SOPs.
• Perform necropsy, organ weighing, tissue trimming and processing.
• Use Electronic Data Capture System (EDCS) for records.
• Heat seal and archive materials.
• Quality check (QC) reviews.
• Maintain necropsy suites and equipment.
• Support waste management and stock upkeep.
• Participate in GLP training and on-call duties.
