Job summary

Caris Life Sciences is seeking a Pathologist Assistant I to support pathologists in organizing and performing pathology tasks for studies. You will assist in marking tumor areas, macro/microdissection and select tests based on tumor site, while maintaining data and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant laboratory science and appropriate certification or ABHES/CAAHEP training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Completion of ABHES/CAAHEP accredited clinical laboratory training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pathology Operations in daily pathology/microdissection workflow.
• Read pathology reports to determine primary site of specimens.
• Identify tumor areas on slides and collect marked areas for molecular analysis.
• Maintain documentation and logs; ensure safety and quality control.

Education

Clinical laboratory training program ABHES/CAAHEP or equivalent
