UChicago Medicine is seeking a qualified Pathologists’ Assistant for the Anatomic Pathology Lab. The role is 100% onsite in the greater Chicagoland area, focused on dissections, assisting diagnosis, and training residents.
The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree from an NAACLS-accredited program and relevant ASCP certification. This position includes responsibilities such as managing surgical specimens and contributing to quality improvement processes.

This 100% onsite position requires relocation/being based in the greater Chicagoland area. You will be responsible for gross pathology dissection, gross description, and sampling of biopsies and complex surgical tissue specimens, and for aiding pathologists in diagnosis. You will also assist resident and medical student teaching, oversee routine lab activities, and perform biobanking duties for the Human Tissue Resource Center.

The pay range is based on a full‑time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed annually. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity.
