Job summary

MRINetwork is seeking a Permanent Pathologists' Assistant in Louisiana to support surgical pathology operations across two active sites. The role requires accurate gross dissection, specimen handling, and close collaboration with pathologists.

Ideal candidates have NAACLS/ASCP-accredited PA program, PA(ASCP) certification or eligibility, and strong communication skills to work across diverse clinical environments. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an NAACLS/ASCP-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program
• Certification as PA(ASCP) or eligible to sit for the board exam
• Ability to work cooperatively within diverse clinical environments
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with pathologists and staff

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate gross dissection and detailed description of surgical specimens from routine biopsies to complex cancer resections
• Handle specimen processing and submission for histologic processing and special studies
• Rotate between private grossing site and hospital lab to ensure broad clinical exposure
• Collaborate with pathologists and technical staff to maintain quality and workflow efficiency
• Contribute to lab workflow coordination and other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate gross dissection and detailed description of surgical specimens across the full case spectrum - from routine biopsies to complex cancer resections
• Specimen processing and submission for histologic processing and special studies
• Rotate between privately owned laboratory (primary grossing site) and hospital lab, ensuring broad, balanced clinical exposure
• Collaborate closely with pathologists and technical staff to maintain quality and workflow efficiency
• Contribute to lab workflow coordination and other duties as assigned

Requirements
