Nicklas Laboratory Staffing is seeking a Pathologists’ Assistant for a travel/contract assignment in Eastern North Dakota. The role runs 13 weeks, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week with no call and no holiday coverage. Positions require PA(ASCP) certification and surgical pathology experience.

Applicants must have 2+ years of Pathologists’ Assistant experience and be able to work independently in a clinical lab setting. Overtime is possible per contract terms within a healthcare system.

Responsabilidades

• Perform gross examination, dissection, and documentation of surgical specimens.
• Ensure accurate specimen identification, handling, labeling, and processing.
• Select appropriate tissue for ancillary and special studies as needed.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to support timely specimen processing.
• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the surgical pathology workflow.
• Follow established laboratory protocols, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe grossing environment.
• Support efficient daily laboratory operations and meet established turnaround times.
• Communicate effectively with pathologists and laboratory personnel regarding specimen requirements or discrepancies.
