Our Pathologists’ Assistants are integral members of the surgical pathology team. You will work alongside subspecialty pathologists, pathology residents, histology professionals, and other laboratory staff in a busy academic environment with a broad and challenging case mix.
Albany Medical Center’s Main Campus is the region’s academic referral center and is part of the Albany Med Health System, giving our pathology team exposure to patients and specimens from across northeastern New York and western New England.
The main campus boasts two bustling operating room suites as well as an active same-day surgery center nearby. The laboratory processes approximately 25,000 surgical specimens per year by a diverse team of histotechnologists, grossing techs, pathology assistants and 16 residents.
