Job Description
The Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University is recruiting for a board certified, full-time faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with subspecialty fellowship training in Gastrointestinal, Pancreas, and Liver Pathology, in the Clinical Scholar track or Clinical Educator track, commensurate with training, experience, and academic record.
This position will involve clinical sign-out duties in GI/Hepatobiliary/Pancreas subspecialty; additional areas of interest/training, such as breast, ENT, and soft tissue pathology, are also highly desirable. The candidate will participate in resident training activities and clinical conferences. The Department has an ACGME-accredited residency program and subspecialty fellowships. Medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
The Department emphasizes scholarship. The successful candidate will be expected to be a member of the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University teaching faculty, and time will be allocated to pursue intradepartmental and interdepartmental opportunities for independent and/or translational research. Development of specialized expertise is strongly encouraged.
