Sonic Healthcare USA in Rye Brook, NY seeks a board-certified pathologist to diagnose disease from tissue and body fluids using state-of-the-art laboratory techniques. The position requires an unrestricted license and AP/CP residency with fellowship training.

Qualifications

• Be a doctor of medicine or osteopathy with an unrestricted license in the state where the lab is located.
• Four-year residency in anatomic and/or clinical pathology completed.
• Two-year surgical pathology fellowship completed.
• Board-certified in anatomic or clinical pathology, or equivalent, or eligible for certification.

Responsabilités

• Examine and interpret tissue sections and body fluids using microscopy and related techniques.
• Diagnose presence and stage of disease from specimens.
• Consult with referring physicians about tests and treatment options.
• Provide diagnostic pathology reports to treating physicians.
• Participate in proficiency testing and educational activities; keep up with pathology developments.

Formation

MD or DO with unrestricted license

Residency in anatomic and/or clinical pathology

Surgical pathology fellowship

Board certification in AP/CP or equivalent
