Qualifications

• Must be ASCP certified or eligible to certify; certification within one year post-hire is required.
• Strong ability to describe gross anatomy, perform dissections, and prepare tissue sections for microscopic evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens.
• Describe gross anatomic features under pathologist supervision and prepare tissue sections for microscopy.
• Ensure proper accessioning and labeling of specimens.
• Obtain pertinent clinical records and imaging as needed.
• Photograph specimens as required.
