Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Tampa, FL is hiring a Pathologists Assistant for a Monday to Friday shift from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM. The pay starts at $33.94 per hour with eligibility for annual performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree B.S. required.
• NAACLS approved Pathologist Assistant training program (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine activities involved in the preparation of surgical specimens for Histologic processing.
• Assure appropriate specimen accessioning and labeling; maintain the integrity of the specimen and patient identification.
• Describe gross anatomic features of routine and non-routine surgical specimens.
• Capable of grossing high complexity specimens under supervision.
• Dissect surgical specimens and prepare tissues for histologic processing.
• May oversee and train Grossing Technicians.
• Complete all paperwork and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
