Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham is seeking a per-diem/part-time Pathologist to provide diagnostic pathology services with emphasis on breast, GI, GU, and GYN pathology.

The ideal candidate is board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty interest, capable of interpreting surgical pathology and supporting clinical laboratory coverage; call duties are shared with BIDMC colleagues. Occasional coverage at Milton site may occur.

The hospital is affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians, and Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), one of the largest healthcare systems in Massachusetts.Job responsibilities include providing diagnostic pathology services, with a focus on breast pathology, gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), and gynecologic (GYN) pathology. The position involves interpretation of surgical pathology and clinical laboratory coverage to support the care of patients across a range of medical and surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will be board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty expertise or strong interest in breast pathology, GI, GU, or GYN. A commitment to diagnostic excellence and collaboration is essential. Call coverage is divided among pathologists from both Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton. There are no cytology or autopsy services. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
