Job Summary

The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton (BID-Milton) is seeking a part-time Pathologist. The hospital is a nonprofit, 100‑bed community hospital that offers advanced, academic‑level expertise and a collegial working environment. The role is primarily located at BID‑Milton, with occasional coverage at BID‑Needham.

Responsibilities

Provide diagnostic pathology services focused on breast, gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), and gynecologic (GYN) pathology. Interpret surgical pathology and provide laboratory coverage to support patients across medical and surgical specialties. Serve call coverage as part of the BID‑Needham and BID‑Milton pathology teams. No cytology or autopsy services are performed.

Qualifications

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty expertise or strong interest in breast, GI, GU, or GYN. Commitment to diagnostic excellence and collaboration is essential.

Benefits

Pay Range: $300,000 – $327,500, based on experience, academic appointment, and other factors. Eligible for performance‑based incentives and a comprehensive benefits program including health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and retirement plans with employer contributions.
