We are seeking a strong general surgical pathologist who thrives in a collaborative, high-volume environment and values quality, efficiency, and teamwork. Candidates with subspecialty training or interest, particularly in GI, cytopathology, or breast pathology, are highly encouraged to apply. While fellowship training is preferred, candidates with demonstrated experience are also welcome.

Practice Overview

  • All pathology services are performed on-site at the hospital, which is a Breast Center of Excellence.

  • No Pap smears, bone marrows, or autopsies. No procedural duties such as FNAs, though ROSE support is offered for some FNAs and select radiology procedures.
  • Coverage includes the potential for one off-site hospital location during call weeks; otherwise, most duties are performed at the main facility.
  • Digital pathology implementation is underway, with full conversion expected by January 1. On-site presence will remain required.
  • Call is shared weekly on a rotating basis (1:4), with holidays rotated among team members.
  • Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., or 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. when assigned frozen sections.
  • Physicians are expected to live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call coverage.
