Job summary

POLYWOOD is seeking a Pathfinder Operator to run our automated fabric cutting system, ensuring precise, high-quality parts for sewing and upholstery teams. You will handle fabric rolls, review cutting files, and perform basic maintenance while keeping a safe, clean cutting area.

Qualifications

• Experience operating automated or CNC cutting equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read patterns or digital cut files with attention to detail.
• Basic mechanical skills and comfort with machine interfaces.
• Ability to lift and handle fabric rolls up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Automated Fabric Cutting Pathfinder, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient cutting.
• Load fabric rolls onto the cutting table and align materials for minimal waste.
• Review cutting files and programs based on production schedules and part requirements.
• Monitor the machine and perform regular quality checks on cut pieces.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the cutter (blade checks, calibration).
• Organize and label cut parts for delivery to sewing/assembly teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized cutting area and follow safety protocols.

HELP US CUT WITH PRECISION AND BUILD WITH PURPOSE.

POLYWOOD® is looking for a Pathfinder Operator who enjoys hands-on, technical work and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality materials. In this role, you'll operate our automated fabric cutting system to ensure our sewing and upholstery teams receive clean, consistent parts that keep production moving.

Pay and Schedule:

• 1st shift: Mon-Fri, 6:00am - 2:30p, starting at $16.00/h
• Full-time, permanent position
• Paid weekly. Every Thursday!

What You’ll Do

• Operate the Automated Fabric Cutting Pathfinder, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient cutting of materials
• Load fabric rolls onto the cutting table and align materials for optimal layout and minimal waste
• Review cutting files and programs based on production schedules and part requirements
• Monitor the machine during operation and perform regular quality checks on cut pieces
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the cutter (e.g., blade checks, calibration, alignment)
• Organize and label cut parts for delivery to the sewing or upholstery teams
• Maintain a clean, organized cutting area and follow safety protocols
