Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training program within 4 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.
• Current Michigan CNA Registry or proof of completion of an approved Nurse Aide Training program within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assistance with ADLs like bathing, dressing and eating.
• Communicate with nursing staff regarding resident care and status.
• Respond to residents' needs via call lights and assist with toileting and repositioning.
• Serve meals and assist residents requiring help.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, documenting care provided.
