A leading law firm seeks a junior Patent Prosecution Technical Advisor or Patent Agent. This role requires engineering or scientific expertise and interest in patent prosecution work. Ideal candidates will have relevant degrees and may have passed the patent bar or be prepared to do so. Perkins Coie is seeking candidates with engineering and scientific expertise and a demonstratable interest in patent prosecution work (e.g., already passed patent bar, willing to take and pass patent bar within 6 months of joining the firm, and/or otherwise having worked in IP legal settings in another firm or company). Candidates must have a graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, material sciences, and/or similar degrees, as well as strong academic credentials and excellent references. Prior industry experience in one or more of electronics, semiconductors, wireless communications, artificial intelligence and machine learning, software, material sciences or medical devices is preferred. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) plan, medical, dental, and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid Holidays, and family care benefits. More information regarding benefits and programs may be found here
Compensation range: $130,000 to $210,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
