Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. seeks an experienced paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of patent and complex commercial litigation in New York.

You will manage case files, litigation databases, eDiscovery, and document collections. You will conduct legal and factual research, assist with discovery, privilege logs, deposition preparation, and exhibit management; coordinate court and agency filings including federal/state courts and USPTO matters.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of paralegal experience in patent litigation.
• Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and agency requirements.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and work overtime/travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of patent and complex commercial litigation.
• Manage case files, litigation databases, eDiscovery, and document collections.
• Conduct legal and factual research using PACER, Westlaw, USPTO, and other resources.
• Assist with discovery, document review, privilege logs, deposition preparation, and exhibit management.
• Prepare and coordinate court and agency filings including federal/state courts and USPTO matters.
• Draft and proofread pleadings, discovery, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Track deadlines, calendars, filings, and case milestones in coordination with docketing teams.
• Assist with depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, court personnel, and litigation support teams.
• Support trial technology and presentation tools
