Patent Litigation Associate

A prestigious Am Law 100 firm is seeking a highly qualified Patent Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its nationally recognized Intellectual Property Litigation group. This position is open in multiple major U.S. legal markets, including Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Miami.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-stakes patent litigation matters in federal district courts and before the ITC. Associates in this group play a key role in all phases of litigation, including Markman hearings, discovery, depositions, working with technical and damages experts, motion practice, and trial preparation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to practice in one or more relevant jurisdictions (CA, NY, MA, DC)
• Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or life sciences (e.g., biology, biochemistry, immunology)
• Strong litigation skills including legal research, writing, and oral advocacy
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work collaboratively on complex matters
• Experience with patent litigation in district court and/or ITC proceedings
