Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or combination of education and experience.
• Professional registration as a professional engineer by any state or territory.
• Passing the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam or equivalent written test for professional registration.
• At least 60 semester hours in physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences including required courses.
• Curriculum must be ABET-accredited or include advanced calculus and five of seven areas (statics, dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical fields/circuits, materials).
• For GS-7, additional options include graduate education, high academic achievement, or related specialized experience.
