Job summary

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP in Denver is seeking a detail-oriented Patent Draftsman to prepare high-quality patent drawings for US and international filings, ensuring USPTO/PCT compliance.

You will convert sketches, CAD files, and technical disclosures into compliant figures, coordinate with attorneys and inventors, and manage multiple projects with strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of drafting, technical illustration, or patent drawing experience.

We have an immediate need for a detail-oriented and technically skillded Patent Draftsman to support our Intellectual Property practice. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality patent drawings and illustrations for U.S. and international patent applications, ensuring compliance with USPTO, PCT, and foreign patent office requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare patent drawings for utility, design, and plant patent applications.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of drafting, technical illustration, or patent drawing experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Visio, or similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Brownstein offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition, this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. We are offering a salary range for this role from $60,000-$90,000.
