We are currently recruiting for a strong opportunity within a well-respected and growing law firm IP practice wherein the diverse clientele consists of Fortune 500 companies, leading international innovators, start-up companies, and universities.

Here, you will prepare and prosecute patent applications and have responsibilities pertaining to a range of other patent protection issues as the needs arise (e.g., patentability and infringement opinions, patent portfolio strategic counseling, etc.) while working closely with clients, inventors, and other IP professionals.

Patent Attorney

  • Must have a state bar and be licensed to practice before the USPTO.
  • Minimum MS in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related, preferably a PhD.
  • At least 2 years of solid patent preparation and prosecution experience in life sciences.
  • Must be licensed to practice before the USPTO.
  • A PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related.
  • At least 2 years of solid patent preparation and prosecution experience in life sciences.

Technical Advisor

  • A PhD in Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related.
  • Commercial or Post Doc research experience in life sciences.
  • A commitment to sit for the USPTO exam, with a preference for those who have already passed the exam.

This firm has been shifting to a virtual office scenario prior to COVID and has multiple attorneys working fully remotely in various time zones, thus this is a fully remote opportunity for candidates of all levels of experience.

This firm also has a flexible compensation model with very reasonable billable expectations and very competitive incentives for highly productive agents, associates, and Of Counsels.
