Role Description:

This is a full-time role for a Patent Attorney/Agent. The Patent Attorney/Agent will draft, prepare, and prosecute patent applications across a range of high-tech and emerging technology fields. Daily responsibilities include conducting patentability analyses, supporting due diligence reviews, and aligning patent strategies with client business goals. The role involves close collaboration with inventors and startup teams to identify innovations, gather technical information efficiently, and translate complex concepts into clear, defensible patent claims. The Patent Attorney/Agent will also contribute to portfolio strategy, provide guidance on IP risks, and help streamline the patent process to reduce costs and delays while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in patent drafting and portfolio development, including Patent Applications and Patent Preparation.
• Solid understanding of Patent Law and related procedures within the U.S. and, ideally, international jurisdictions.
• Experience conducting Patentability assessments and prior art searches to evaluate and position inventions.
• Background in Due Diligence for IP, including reviewing portfolios, identifying legal risks, and supporting transactions.
• Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science, or similar) and ability to work with advanced technologies.
• Admission to practice before the USPTO as a registered patent attorney or agent; bar admission for attorneys is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience working with startups, venture-backed companies, or technology-driven businesses is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
