Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig in Washington, D.C. is expanding its intellectual property group and seeks experienced patent attorneys who want the reach of a national platform with a focused practice.

Candidates should have 8–10 years of patent prosecution and/or IP counseling experience, be registered to practice before the USPTO, and hold a bar admission (DC preferred or eligibility to waive). An established, portable book of business is required.

Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, a national law firm, is expanding its Washington, D.C. intellectual property group. We are seeking experienced patent attorneys who want the reach of a national platform with the collegiality and autonomy of a focused practice group. Our D.C. office is in the heart of Penn Quarter, between Pennsylvania Avenue and Capital One Arena. It is steps from Metro and surrounded by some of the city's best restaurants, museums, and cultural destinations.

What we're looking for:

• 8–10 years of patent prosecution and/or IP counseling experience
• Registration to practice before the USPTO
• Bar admission, with D.C. admission preferred or eligibility to waive in
• An established, portable book of business

Compensation Structure & Disclosures:

Job Type: W-2 Employment

Projected Earning Range: $125,000— $250,000+ per year (Good-faith performance-based range for a book of $250 -450k)

This is a 100% commission basis with no fixed base salary. As a DBL Partner, your earnings are tied entirely to generated revenue (originating, managing, and billed work), featuring performance incentives.
