Duties:
  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO and, where applicable, international patent offices.
  • Provide technical guidance to attorneys on documenting inventions and ensuring clear patent filings.
  • Assist in analyzing prior art and performing patent searches to assess novelty and patentability.
  • Advise clients on broader intellectual property strategies, including patent portfolio management and IP protection.
  • Contribute to patent litigation efforts by providing technical support and strategic insights as needed.
  • Counsel clients on industry trends, helping to align their patent strategy with business goals.
  • Maintain high attention to detail while managing multiple cases and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members and share expertise on new technologies, legal processes, and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the USPTO is a plus, but not required.
  • A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a closely related field.
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage caseloads, and delegate effectively where appropriate.
