Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Patent Agent for a role based in Madison, WI, or Washington, DC. The position focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications across engineering tech sectors, including AI-related projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Three+ years of patent prosecution experience in a law firm.
• Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
• Registered Patent Agent with the USPTO.
• AI or Quantum Computing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute patent applications and respond to Office actions.
• Draft high-quality patent applications with detailed descriptions and figures.
• Conduct and analyze patent searches to identify prior art.
• Stay updated on developments in U.S. patent law and relevant technologies.
• Meet a billable hour requirement of 1500–1700 hours per year.
