BCG Attorney Search in Charleston, SC seeks a patent agent to join their Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, relevant industry experience, and excellent writing and communication skills.

You will prepare and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering and software-related technologies, collaborate with clients to draft applications, and perform patentability analyses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Admission to the USPTO is required.
• Experience in ML, telecom, autonomous driving, RF circuitry or hardware security is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications in electrical engineering and software-related technologies.
• Collaborate with clients to understand inventions and draft patent applications.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Communicate with the USPTO regarding patent applications.
